A Tonghua – Taizhou cooperation joint conference took place in Taizhou, Zhejiang province on Oct 23, enhancing the two cities’ cooperation across regional and multi-sectoral areas.

Leaders of the two cities discussed promoting deeper and broader cooperation at the conference, and also signed cooperation agreements on enterprise transformation, tourism cooperation, business trade, raw Chinese medical materials procurement and food supply and marketing.

Twenty-two cooperation projects covering the industries of medicine, tourism, agricultural product processing, equipment manufacturing and commercial logistics were signed at the event, generating 2.4 billion yuan ($ 345.7 million) in value.

Districts and counties in Tonghua have all signed cooperation framework agreements with districts and counties in Taizhou, set up docking mechanisms and frequently scheduled mutual exchanges and visits, said Wang Zhihou, Party secretary of Tonghua.

Tonghua, learning from Taizhou’s experience, has made several strategic deployments that promote a civilian battalion economy aimed at high quality development, and has taken the lead in implementing “At Most One Visit” government services reform in Jilin province.
