China and Japan celebrate harmony

NHK Symphony Orchestra will stage two concerts to celebrate the friendship between China and Japan. The year 2012 marks the 40th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese relations.

Audiences will be offered a dazzling treat by the orchestra, conducted by the eminent Tadaaki Otaka (pictured below), in collaboration with pianist Chen Sa. This event will also mark the orchestra's first return in 14 years since its China debut in 1998.
