Swan Lake from Cuba

The 12th Meet of the Beijing Arts Festival will open with Swan Lake by the Cuban National Ballet, on its fourth visit to China.

Founded by Alicia Alonso in 1948, the Cuban National Ballet is recognized as one of the world's leading ballet companies. At the outset the company followed the romantic and classical traditions, even as it encouraged the work of choreographers who sought inspiration from national and contemporary trends.
