The 1927 Troup is a prominent new drama group in the United Kingdom. Four years after their multiple award-winning, critically acclaimed debut Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, 1927 returns with its follow-up show, The Animals and Children Took to the Streets.
It tells the story of Agnes Eaves and her daughter, who rent a dim and shabby building near the river. Seamlessly synchronizing live music, performance and storytelling with films and animation, this wickedly twisted show is about city life.
7:30 pm, April 11-15, National Center for the Performing Arts, west of Tian'anmen Square, Beijing. 010-6655-0000.
