A total of 12 South Korean films were screened in Beijing's theaters recently to celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Seoul and Beijing. The movies are now being shown in Shanghai.
The South Korean Film Screening opened in Beijing on Aug 29 with a romance named Introduction to Architecture.
Among the other highlights include senior director Lee Chang-dong's Secret Sunshine, which won the top award Golden Palm during the 60th Cannes International Film Festival, and renowned director Kim Ki-duk's thriller 3-Iron.
Mainland actress Tang Wei, who is well known in South Korea after starring in Late Autumn, has been appointed the event's ambassador.

Shanghai filmgoers can enjoy the movies until Sept 16.
