Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson, Eric Bana and Natalie Portman are among the stars expected to attend the Berlin Film Festival next month.
Penelope Cruz and Daniel Day-Lewis, who won a Golden Globe as best dramatic actor, also are expected, festival director Dieter Kosslick told The Associated Press. He said Johansson's appearance at the Berlin festival would be her first.
Previously announced attendees include Martin Scorsese and the Rolling Stones, who are the subject of the director's "Shine A Light," which premieres when the festival opens Feb. 7.
"This year's film festival will rock," Kosslick said, referring to Scorsese's documentary.
Twenty-six movies will compete for this year's Golden Bear award, 18 of them will have their world premiere at the festival.
The Berlin event, the first of the year's major European film festivals, ends Feb. 17.
