Zeta Jones's little black dress reveals more than a new, trim figure

Her recent weight loss has drawn much attention from the world's media - and not all of it flattering.

So perhaps Catherine Zeta Jones chose this dress to make them focus on one or two of her better points.

The Welsh actress, 38, wore the revealing frock to the Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

While accentuating her cleavage, it managed to hide the protruding collarbones which have worried her fans.

Her leaner frame was still obvious, however. An onlooker said: "Catherine looks fantastic - but definitely does not need to shed any more weight."

Miss Zeta Jones, who has vehemently hit out at Hollywood's obsession with "super skinny women", appears to have lost a substantial amount of weight in recent times.

Earlier this week, she stepped out wearing a strapless green full length gown, there was no disguising her collarbones, toned, slender arms and tiny waist.

Accompanied by her 63-year-old husband, Michael Douglas, for the gala benefit of A Fine Romance, Miss Zeta Jones looked a shadow of her former self.

"Catherine has always been pretty voluptuous and proud of her curves," said an onlooker. "But any excess weight she once carried has disappeared.

"Her chest and shoulders were particularly defined and even verging on bony.

"Perhaps it was just the very upright way in which she was standing that made her look much skinnier than usual, but Catherine certainly looks to have stepped-up her exercise regime of late.

"She is looking fantastic though and was absolutely radiating at the party."

Ironically in her latest movie, No Reservations, the actress, who made her name in ITV's The Darling Buds of May, played a chef.
