Catherine Zeta-Jones insists that people are mistaken when they make up their minds that she is a 'diva'.

The Chicago star has earned a reputation for being a demanding star, but Zeta-Jones is adamant that the belief is wrong.

Instead of being a diva, she says, what she really happens to be is shy and reserved.

"There is a much shyer quality to me that people don't usually see," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"I get perceived as 'Here comes the showgirl', when in fact I have my insecurities. I'm a lot more reserved than I let on," she added.

She will now be seen on the big screen in the romantic comedy 'No Reservations'.

And one person who is really glad that she's taken on this role is hubby Michael Douglas, as he strongly believes that the film will illustrate his spouse's softer side.

The characters of strong-headed, tough women that Zeta-Jones is known for playing in films like 'Traffic', 'Ocean's Twelve' and 'The Mask Of Zorro' have always kept Douglas worried that the world will never get to know what a lovely person his wife is.
