Actress Keira Knightley shows her maternal side as she cares for baby elephant Shimba.

Swapping the high seas for the African plains, the Pirates of the Caribbean star donned a floaty dress, hardwearing boots and a faceful of carefully applied make-up for the photo shoot for fashion magazine American Vogue.

Keira has spoken of her wish for more curves, in particular those of curvy Italian actress Monica Bellucci and judging from the unfortunate choice of dress chosen by the fashion bible, it's not hard to see why.

She said: "I would love to have good bosoms! I would love to have Monica Bellucci's figure but I'm never going to get it. I'm naturally who I am."

The actress reprises her role as Elizabeth Swann in the 'threequel' Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End which premiered at Disneyland, Florida, earlier this week.
