Drama follows Pete Doherty everywhere. On the heels of his being put in jail on suspicion of drug possession earlier this month, Pete Doherty creates another shock yet again when he is set to sell his blood paintings.
The troubled singer is to stage an exhibition of his artworks, painted in his own blood, at London's Bankrobber Gallery for a month starting May 15th. The show will feature 14 original paintings and prints that Doherty created using pen, pencil, and his own blood.
Among any other items go on sale including, various self-portraits alongside works like "Number 3 On The Twos," which portrays a prisoner lying on his bed in a cell, four canvasses that are expected to make £50,000 with the smaller pieces could fetch up to £20,000, while the prints are priced at £1,000.
The Babyshambles frontman, has through the exhibition, meant to show supermodel lover Kate Moss he is back on track following his recent drug possession arrest despite the fact that it has angered anti-drug campaigners who claimed his artworks as "glamorizing" his heroin addiction.
