The singer has announced a release date and title for her second solo album.
Gwen Stefani has released more details about her second solo album, the follow-up to 2004's Love. Angel. Music. Baby. The singer's latest effort,The Sweet Escape, is due out on December 5 and is led by the first single, the Neptunes-produced "Wind it Up."
Stefani also collaborated with Akon, No Doubt's Tony Kanal, Nellee Hooper, Sean Garrett, Swizz Beatz, Dave Stewart, and Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley for this project.
"This album is surprisingly different than the last one," Stefani said in a statement. "I started recording it last year before Kingston was born and it's definitely evolved over the last year. The dance sound is very 'now.' It's modern...not so retro."
Stefani will kick off a U.S. tour in April 2007. Dates have not yet been announced.
The 'Wind It Up' singer has revealed it took five months to shift the extra pounds she piled while pregnant with son Kingston.
The singer - who is married to former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale - says she can't wait to go on tour with Kingston next April.
Gwen gushed: "I announced I was pregnant during my last tour. Now I'm excited to go out there and have the baby on the outside. He's the greatest thing in the world.
"And now he finally has enough hair to do something with. I was trying to give him some cooler looks."
