Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, who before entering Hollywood wanted to become a journalist may see his childhood dream come true, for he is reportedly being lined up for a big screen version of the hit British TV crime drama 'State Of Play.'
The BBC mini-series, which was written by 'Shameless' creator Paul Abbott tells the story of a newspaper's investigation into the death of a young woman, and centers around the relationship between the leading journalist and his old friend.
The Troy actor is set to star as the investigative journalist, which was played by Brit actor John Simm in the TV series.
Meanwhile the Hollywood hunk is all set to bring the story of a transsexual man to the small screen. He is teaming up with TV series Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy to produce a TV show, titled '4 Oz' , about the life of a transsexual married sportswriter. The show will mark Pitt's foray into the world of television.
