Robbie performed on Sunday in Vienna, at the Ernst Happel Stadium and he proved, once again, that his 'Close Encounters' tour will be as successful as his previous ones. The gig featured Basement Jaxx in the opening and Robbie appeared on stage at 09.00 sharp, as scheduled, according to softpedia news report.
The show kicked off with a very Robbie-like interpretation of 'Radio' and, from then on, things just flowed naturally by themselves. At one point, the star stepped into the crowd and shared an intimate moment with a female fan, who wore a banner that said 'I'll teach you yodel for a kiss'.
Then came the long expected ripping off of his T-shirt and pants and few were those that found a reason to complain about it. The bottom line is that, for two hours and a half, Robbie Williams showed the world that he, out of all the male singers out there, has no reason to fear the likes of Justin who, as good as he might be, will never be as big as Robbie.
The entire concert was aired live on more than 500 radio stations worldwide, thus allowing almost 400 million people to tune in and listen to Robbie's hit tracks.
