The 16th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, will be held from Oct 17 to Nov 16.

There will be 45 plays staged during the arts festival, including 25 overseas plays and 20 domestic plays. The original premieres will account for over 1/3 of those staged.

The festival will also feature art exhibitions, forums and mass cultural activities.
