The musical drama "Golden Land-My Northern Shaanxi" was performed on October 15 at the Weifang Grand Theatre in Shandong province as part of the 10th China Art Festival.
The 90-minute stage production was wholly original and reflected a new Shaanxi after the Chinese economic reforms. The style of the show was centered on Xintianyou, a traditional folk music style from Shaanxi province that was developed by porters carrying goods to faraway places. The performances are coupled with a unique storytelling perspective, beautiful music, an innovative stage presentation and good visual effects. The recent stage spectacle was such a sensation that the performance received continuous applause from all those present.
