"The Battle of Frankenhausen", Werner Tübke, 1982, oil on canvas The painting depicts the resistance waged by farmers in Thuringia against their masters. It took Tübke more than 10 years to complete this masterpiece in 1987, which measures 123 meters in length and 14 meters in height.
