Chinese Opera Festival in Paris

The center staged the Traditional Chinese Opera Festival every two years from 2003. The opera festival invites six representative local troupes to perform in France. Up till now, six opera festivals have been successfully held, featuring performances of more than 30 Chinese opera troupes.

Many locals have become fans of Chinese opera after the festival. With the approval and support from the Ministry of Culture and Communication of France, the festival set many awards to promote the influence of traditional Chinese opera.

The festival also features lectures that help the locals learn more about Chinese opera. Theaters in Paris provide efficient technical support during the festival.
