Yuantongshan Park, a comprehensive park that is home to many animals in central Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, is also home to over 1,000 cherry blossom trees and cherry apple trees. When spring comes, the flowers come into full bloom.
Park visitors numbered over 180,000 people this weekend, marking the first tourist peak this year.
The blossoms are expected to last until the end of March, as temperatures this year are cooler than in previous years. That means the flower season is extended for several days.
