Gala evening and cultural gifts for APEC

A gala evening was presented at the Water Cube on Nov 10, which was unforgettable to the guests. Besides showing the economic strength and organizational ability of China, it was also a great chance to showcase the national cultural image. Outstanding features and magnificent spectacle characterized the evening as high-profile world leaders and officials from 21 member economies were welcomed. The event was highly appreciated by Chinese and foreign friends.

In addition, the organizing committee prepared cultural gifts for the leaders and officials to take home, in the hopes that the souvenirs would provide some memories and impressions of China. A golden key, with a white marble base holder, a silk painting and a calligraphy set were among the gifts.
