According to the Hubei Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute’s introduction, researchers discovered music and dance artifacts of the early Spring and Autumn Period(770-476 BC) at Guojiamiao cemetery in Zaoyang, Hubei province. The earliest known zither, chimes frame and other relics, dating to about 2,700 years ago, were unearthed in the remains.
