Sotheby's will preview in Hong Kong some impressionist and modern artworks, in a continuing effort to woo Asian buyers' favor for Western art. The works will go under the hammer at its two London sales.
The exhibition to be held at Sotheby's Hong Kong gallery includes paintings of Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
Le Grand Canal offers a view of Venice that Monet studied for three months in 1908. The painting was once shown at The National Gallery, London for eight years.
