Season of shows in Beijing

The changing colors of tree leaves and mild weather mark the arrival of autumn in Beijing, which the capital is also welcoming with a season of performances.

For dance lovers, a Dance Festival at the iconic National Center for the Performing Arts until Nov 23 features three internationally celebrated contemporary dance companies.

Winter, Again, choreographed by Jo Stromgren in February 2013 and accompanied by music from Schubert's Eine Winterreise, will be performed by the Scottish Dance Theater on Nov 8 and 9. The 28-year-old company will take audiences through a cycle of the darkest and coldest season.
