SHANGHAI

Morality tale

The Good Person of Szechwan, a play by German dramatist Bertolt Brecht, is a parable on morality and altruism in social and economic terms. Meng Jinghui Theater Studio will present the play in English with subtitles, telling the story of a woman struggling to be good but forced to invent a fake identity to protect her interests. One can't be good both to others and to oneself; even gods don't know how to deal with this dilemma.
