Hike

The Pinnacle Tower

Date: Oct 5-8:30 am

Venue: Beijing Hikers

Price: RMB 400

This stretch of the Great Wall sits atop the "Big East Mountain" in Huairou, and it's a hike we don't do frequently. The view from the top of the Pinnacle Tower is stunning and well worth the tough climb. We'll make two big hill climbs on the way to the top, where we'll stop to enjoy the views before heading down to one of the local villages for light snacks and drinks. Balancing skills and a good head for heights will be required. Because it's one of the biggest holidays of the year, we might see extra hikers out and about, and we might get stuck in bad traffic on the way there or on the way back. 8:00 am departure from Lido Hotel Starbucks; Liangmaqiao subway area pickup at 7:30 am.
