In non-fiction, scholar and TV celebrity Yi Zhongtian decides to dedicate his retirement to an ambitious project-Yi Zhongtian's Chinese History which retells Chinese history in 36 volumes of light prose.
According to predictions, the book will rake in 1.3 billion yuan ($212 million). Spin-offs, including a theme park based on the books, are also planned. His version of Chinese history has been the topic of lively discusstion since it was released, but the TV celebrity has earned even more headlines for his business goals related to the upcoming volumes.
