Town's history told in a show

A show depicting the history of Zhenyuan, an ancient town in Southwest China's Guizhou province, is playing in the town on July 18. The town covers an area of 1,878 square kilometers and has a population of 260,000. It has more than 160 scenic spots including caves, palaces, pavilions, temples and rivers with unique architecture, exquisite engravings and marvelous landscapes. The town has a history of more than 2,200 years. Cut through by the Wuyang River, it is divided into two parts and also hailed as "Oriental Venice". [Photo/chinadaily.com.cn]
