Graduate considers HK 2nd hometown

Liu Zeting is just one of the increasing number of students who head to Hong Kong to study and end up finding work in the city.

In 2006, after giving up the opportunity to go to Tsinghua University, Liu decided to study at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

During his four years at the university, he established a website, published a book, participated in simulated United Nations conferences, and business contests, to name a few.

"If using one word to describe the life in HKUST, it is 'busy', two words is 'busy, busy', three is 'busy, busy, busy'.”

After graduation, Liu decided to fnd a job instead of continuing his study. Now, he works at Barclays's Hong Kong office as an analyst.

Liu considers Hong Kong his second hometown, but said he will come back to the mainland someday to set up his own business as there is a big market and bright future.
