No cell phone until after the exam

Zhang Zhenyu, the top scorer in science in 2016 gaokao in East China's Zhejiang province, was actually quite disappointed right after knowing his score.

With a full score in math, he thought he should have scored better in Chinese, in which he scored 111 out of 150.

Teachers were most impressed by his strong ability of logical thinking and self-study. Zhang was ranked the first in his school consistently through his three years in senior high and also won a provincial medal of literature as a junior high student.

Zhang didn't own a cell phone or instant messaging account until he finished the national college entrance examination in earlier June, 2016.
