A bride, surnamed Ma, dressed in a suit normally associated with grooms, and her husband, surnamed Yue, who is dressed like a bride, pose for a selfie on their wedding day in Hua county, Henan province, May 1. The couple met two years ago in Yue's hometown in Jinhua city, Zhejiang province. According to Chinese tradition, the bride expects to live in her new husband's home after the wedding, but she wanted to hold a separate ceremony in her hometown in Henan to offer some sort of comfort to her parents by introducing a new "bride"- her husband dressed as a bride - and Yue agreed to the idea.
