A red Ferrari was smashed to pieces after hitting a guardrail on a road near Beijing Capital International Airport on Thursday morning, killing one passenger and injuring two others, according to Mirror Evening News.
This accident happened at the Beigao section of the Airport Expressway between 3 am and 4 am, according to rescuers. Speeding was thought to be a cause of the accident, which remains under investigation.
The accident also led to a minor traffic jam on the highway, and the road was basically cleared by 6 am.
The PR department of Ferrari China told Mirror Evening News on Thursday morning that it had yet to receive a report on the incident, but would be involved in the investigation once all of the details of the damage had been confirmed by the local dealer.
