NANCHANG - Three people were killed and 22 others injured when a coach overturned into a river in East China's Jiangxi Province on Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred at noon, when the vehicle carrying 28 people tipped into Luotang River in Guixi City, said a statement from the city's publicity department.
All injured people are receiving treatment in local hospitals, and rescuers are searching for the two passengers yet to be accounted for, according to the statement.
The driver of the coach has been taken into police custody, the statement added.
Further investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
