The political advisory body of Beijing will open its annual session next week, authorities said.
The second session of the 12th Beijing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will begin on Jan 14 and end on Jan 19, according to the committee's publicity department.
During the five-day session, representatives will discuss the 2013 work report of the Beijing municipal government.
Representatives will also submit proposals for Beijing's development to the government.
The 12th Beijing Committee of the CPPCC has 761 representatives from 32 different sectors, including 458 non-Communist representatives, about 60 percent of the total.
