A baby who survived the Wenchuan earthquake and its aftermath five years ago perished in the Lushan quake on Saturday.
Wang Yanxia was born among frequent aftershocks of the more destructive Wenchuan quake in Sichuan province in May, 2008.
But a wall fell on her during Saturday’s Lushan quake as her parents ran with her from their home, according to Nanfang Daily on Thursday.
"I thought she would have a long, happy life after escaping the first quake," her distraught mother said.
