The girl's condition was confirmed by the center early Saturday. She has been receiving treatment at Beijing Ditan Hospital since Thursday.
Two people who have had close contact with the child have been kept under medical observation and have not shown any flu symptoms, a spokesman for the center said.
The girl's parents were engaged in live poultry trading in a township in the suburban Shunyi district.
Her township and school have not reported any other flu cases, the spokesman said.
