The Chinese Art Market Summit 2013 was held at the Asia Hotel in Beijing on Dec 23.
Hosted by 99 Art Network, this year's summit, the fourth, focuses on “the international vision and development of the Chinese artwork auction market in multi-dimensional time”.
Representatives from major auction houses and galleries, as well as leading collectors and art market researchers, came together to discuss trends and challenges that have appeared in the art world during 2013 and share thoughts for strategies for future development.
The summit was divided into three topics; economic environment and art market trends; collection trends in contemporary and ancient art, and trends and strategies of the Chinese artwork auction market.
The summit also announced 10 awards including, model auction house and most influential gallery.
