A man who claimed there was a bomb in an airplane in Yunnan province in May was sentenced to four years in jail for fabricating terror information at Guandu District People's Court on Tuesday, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Huang Ruizhi, a native of Yunnan province, made the threat on May 28. He called Changshui International Airport in the provincial capital of Kunming on his mobile phone, claiming he put a bomb on a flight from Kunming to Beijing. The threat caused a delay of four hours and 15 minutes. More than 200 pieces of luggage were delivered by other flights. The return flight from Beijing to Kunming was also canceled.
Huang was arrested on the same day and admitted the threat was false. He pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday.
