Police arrest man for harassment on subway

A man has confessed to multiple charges of harassment after he was found lying under a subway seat and molesting female passengers, according to the Beijing Public Security Bureau on Monday.

Police arrested the 30-year-old suspect at Dongzhimen Station on Line 2 in Beijing. They revealed his surname, Zhu, and said he comes from Chengde in Hebei province.

One witness to the alleged assaults posted video footage online that apparently shows Zhu stroking the legs of several female passengers while lying under a subway seat.

Beijing police warned the public to call the police whenever they spot similar behavior.
