Officials criticized for shopping online at work

A city government in Shandong province circulated a notice of criticism concerning four officials who played games or shopped online at work, Shandong Business Daily reported on Tuesday.

Liaocheng government posted the notice of criticism on its official website.

Two of the officials who played games at work, Liu Xiangzhong from the Liaocheng Forestry Bureau and Zhou Xiaofei from a sub-district office, received administrative warnings.

Zhao Yanxu, a section chief at Liaocheng Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, was found to have played online games at work. He was asked to write a self-criticism and was disqualified from the annual bonus this year.

Li Xiao, from a local government affairs service center, who shopped online when he was working, was also asked to write a self-criticism.

Superiors of the four officials were held responsible for the mistakes of their subordinates and were requested to write a self-criticism.
