BEIJING - Cold front with temperature drop was forecast in north China and heavy rainfall will hit most of south China over the next three days, meteorological authorities said on Saturday.
Lasting warm weather still remains unseen in the country's northern regions where cold front often occurs.
Central and east areas of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and most of northeast China, north China and regions of the Yellow and Huaihe rivers will see snow and temperature drop up to eight degrees Celsius with high wind, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said in an online statement.
West areas of Gansu province and some parts of the neighboring Ningxia Hui autonomous region and Shaanxi province will be hit by sandstorm from Sunday to Monday, the center added.
Regions south of the Yangtze River and the western parts of south China will see heavy rain on Saturday. And heavy rain or hail is expected in parts of Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces and parts of southwest China, the center said.
Experts warned of cold due to changing weather and suggested more clothes.
