A deputy to the National People's Congress has proposed that China should train more medical examiners, Procuratorate Daily reported.
Cong Bin, NPC deputy and vice-chancellor of Hebei Medical University, said that only 31 Chinese universities currently have the capacity and train some 1,200 medical examiners annually. China's law enforcement system suffers a shortage of 6,000 such professional and technical personnel.
"The judicial system may be affected if this is not remedied," Cong said.
