China and Hungary will sign seven cooperation deals on Tuesday, covering areas including telecommunications and agriculture, during Vice-Premier Li Keqiang's visit to the Central European country.
Chinese telecom giants Huawei and ZTE will also increase investments in Hungary.
An official with Huawei told China Daily they are optimistic about increasing investment in Hungary, because it is in the center of Europe and has relative cheap labor.
The official stressed that the additional investment would create jobs in Hungary.
Li arrived in Hungary on Monday for an official visit, during which the two nations are expected to sign a package of cooperative agreements in the finance, agro-science, small and medium-sized enterprises and information technology sectors.
Despite the financial crisis and global economic slowdown, Sino-Hungarian trade volume reached a record high of more than $9 billion last year, up by 6.2 percent year-on-year.
China is Hungary's largest trade partner outside the European Union. Hungary is the largest destination for Chinese investment in Central and Eastern Europe.
