The 25th Global Hakka Conference will be held in Sanming, Fujian province, from Nov 20 to 22.
The event will attract representatives from more than 210 Hakka associations at home and abroad.
The Hakka people are said to have migrated as war refugees from Central China centuries ago, and dispersed throughout the south of the country.
There are about 120 million Hakka people in the world, and 80 million of them live in China.
This year's event will feature symposiums on Hakka studies and performances including traditional Hakka folk songs and dance.
