HONG KONG - The Hong Kong government has decided to establish a preparatory task force on a Chinese Medicine Development Committee to provide better medical health services, the city's chief announced Tuesday.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Chief Executive CY Leung said the task force, chaired by Secretary for Food & Health Ko Wing-man, will advise the government on the committee's terms of reference and composition, as well as its future priorities and direction.
Ko said task force members will comprise representatives from Chinese medicine practitioners, the Chinese medicine industry and schools of Chinese medicine from the University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University.
