SHENZHEN -- A US cargo aircraft taking off from Tokyo made a safe landing at the airport in Shenzhen, Guangdong province Saturday evening after one of its tires had malfunctioned, the airport authorities said.
The malfunction was reported at 6:19 pm when the plane, owned by the United Parcel Service of America Inc (UPS), was flying to the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.
The airport launched an emergency rescue immediately after receiving the information from the control tower.
The plane carrying two crew members landed on the ground safely at 7:25 pm.
