KUNMING - Police in Southwest China's Yunnan province have broken up a transnational drug trafficking ring involving three criminal gangs, local police said Wednesday.
Twenty-six people possessing 62.8 kg of crystal methamphetamine, or ice, and three pistols were arrested during three separate police operations last year, according to authorities from the Kunming railway police bureau.
An investigative team spent more than 270 days investigating the ring, which trafficked drugs across Yunnan's border to sell in other regions in China.
