BEIJING - The general manager of the Dalian Petrochemical Company has lost his job over a fire that broke out at the company's plant on Monday.
That's what the China National Petroleum Corporation, the parent company of Dalian Petrochemical, said on Wednesday in a statement.
Jiang Fan, the former general manager of the petrochemical company, was replaced on Tuesday by Leng Shengjun, who was once the general manager of the Daqing Refinery Company, a subsidiary of the China National Petroleum Corp, according to the statement.
On Monday, a tank storing about 800 tons of diesel fuel caught fire at the Dalian Petrochemical Company. That was the second fire to break out in the plant in the past two months.
