The 6th Beijing-Tokyo Forum, titled "The Future of Asia and Sino-Japanese Contributions," wrapped up on August 31 in Tokyo.
Japan should make the best of China's rapid development and forge ahead greater cooperation with China, Wang Chen, minister of the State Council Information Office, told Japanese media at a press conference for Japanese reporters on August 30.
The 6th Beijing-Tokyo Forum co-organized by China Daily and Genron NPO, a Japanese non-profit think tank, kicked off at 9 am local time on August 30 at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo.
Senior Chinese and Japanese officials took part in the forum jointly held by China Daily newspaper and Genron NPO, a Japanese think tank similar to the American Council on Foreign Relations.
The annual forum is designed to deepen mutual understanding between China and Japan.
"I work in textile design. It seems to me a contribution to world peace.", said Junichi Arai, who is called a "Talent of Japan's Fabric industry". He expressed the good will of world peace on the opening ceremony of his exhibition in Qinghua University.
