BEIJING -- China's leading train manufacturer China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd announced Thursday that it had secured orders for 63 internal-combustion locomotives from Pakistan since February.
The locomotives have been purchased as part of three contract orders, with the highest speed of the vehicle reaching 140 kilometers per hour, according to CSR Ziyang Co Ltd, the manufacturer.
CSR Ziyang, China's largest internal-combustion locomotive manufacturer, has exported more than 600 such vehicles to 23 countries, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
CSR manufactures railway locomotives, passenger trains, freight wagons, bullet trains and subway cars. Its products have been exported to more than 80 countries or regions.
