After the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Lushan and Ya'an in southwest China in April 2013, ginger sellers face a big challenge at Chaoyang village, Fei Xianguan township, Lushan county in Sichuan province.
The village used to be a ginger producing area; however, the earthquake has made the products unsellable. The local growers have started to establish contact with dealers from neighboring cities like Chengdu and Chongqing in order to develop new markets.
