Cabbies can pick up passengers who use taxi-booking apps in a designated area at Beijing Capital International Airport.
Beijing News reported on Tuesday that taxi drivers can use taxi-booking apps in the parking lot if they are reserved by passengers in advance.
Drivers can park for free in the lot for 30 minutes, but will be punished if they pick up passengers in other areas of the airport, the report said.
Traffic authority officers will inspect taxi operations at the airport, especially in the parking lot, to check whether cabs have been reserved by passengers.
The airport said earlier that the frequent use of taxi-apps by drivers and passengers had disrupted taxi services there.
It witnessed increased use of apps as people returned to Beijing after Spring Festival this year.
